2007年のマヘルのツアーで訪れた名古屋の街を朝方に歩いていたら、後ろを歩いていた大谷君に「澁谷さん、靴底取れてますよ」と言われて、振り向いたら確かに片方の靴底が綺麗にはがれて、道の真ん中にポツンと取り残されていた。
その出来事があまりにも面白くて、冗談で「ロスト・マイ・ソール」などと外国人に話して笑いを取っていたが、家に帰ってから真面目に歌詞と曲を書いてみたら、とてもyumbo向きとは思えないプログレッシヴアーバンポップになってしまった。
山形のサンディニスタの近くの喫茶店で、雄哉さんとハイトーンのツインボーカルを競うように練習して大笑いしたのが懐かしい思い出である。
この録音は新ヴォーカリストの高柳あゆ子が加入してから2回目の、高円寺ペンギンハウスでの演奏である。
演劇の世界からやってきた高柳さんに敬意を払って、このライブは全体の台本を作って演劇仕立てにした。
予告なしで現れた高橋朝さんにもステージに居てもらい、たこ焼きの入ったパックやその辺にあったアコギを鳴らしてもらっているのが聴こえる。
