僕は子供の頃からよく嘘をついていた。
ある時は学校をさぼるためだったり、ある時は自分の考えを悟られないようにするためで、おおむね自分を守るための嘘だったと思う。
「嘘のDNA」はそういう自分の性癖と、夢でよく見る街の光景を結びつけて書いた歌で、今でもCD（『小さな穴』）のバージョンを聴くと、レコーディング時のドタバタを思い出して笑ってしまう楽しい曲だが、ライブで実際に演奏することを考えると億劫でたまらない（だから今は演らない）。
